Meehan Joins Corbett and Tea Party in Hiding Views from Public
Springfield, PA - September 7 – Kevin McTigue, Bryan Lentz's campaign manager, issued the following comment about Pat Meehan's public-speaking engagement at an “off-the-record” meeting of the Tea Party Coalition of Southeastern Pennsylvania tonight. The meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m at the Quality Inn Conference Center in Montgomeryville, and according to event invitations no recording devices of any kind are allowed into the event to allow a “forthright” conversation.
Governor Tim Kaine, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, is coming to town. Gov. Kaine will be laying out the choice the American people have in front of them in November -- a choice between Democrats who are moving America forward, and Republicans who want to take us back to the failed policies of the past. This is a chance to hear the ideas of one of our most prominent political leaders addressing the most important issues of our times.
He will be speaking at the University of Pennsylvania next Wednesday, September 8 at Noon. For more information, go to the Organizing for America website.
Bryan Lentz is a former Airborne Ranger, prosecutor, Iraq War veteran and legislator with the experience, leadership and integrity to fight for Pennsylvania's 7th Congressional District. My good friend Congressman Joe Sestak endorsed me this morning in my run for Pennsylvania's 7th Congressional District seat. Joe believes that I am the candidate best able to continue to build upon his accomplishments in Washington. I am humbled by his faith in me and proud to accept his endorsement. It is indeed high praise when Joe Sestak says, "I cannot think of anyone who I’d rather have as my Congressman than Bryan Lentz."
I will strive to live up to the high standards he established as the representative of everyone in the 7th District.
Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District is located in Southeastern Pennsylvania and includes a majority of Delaware County and portions of Chester and Montgomery Counties.
The district is home to several colleges and universities, including Swarthmore College, Haverford College, Villanova University, Cabrini College and Delaware County Community College, as well as Boeing’s helicopter facility in Ridley Park.
President Barack Obama carried the district in 2008 with 56 percent of the vote and U.S. Representative Joe Sestak won re-election that year by almost 20 points. The district has also voted for Senator Bob Casey and Governor Ed Rendell in recent years.
